Tambovsky District (Russian: Тамбо́вский райо́н) is an administrative[2] and municipal[3] district (raion), one of the twenty in Amur Oblast, Russia. The area of the district is 2539km2.[1] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Tambovka.[4] Population: 25,049 (2002 Census); The population of Tambovka accounts for 33.6% of the district's total population.
