Talleyville is an unincorporated community in New Castle County, Delaware, United States.
It was a distinct census-designated place for the 1990 U.S. Census.[2]
The Talleys were a prominent family in the Brandywine Hundred and provided the namesake of the community.[3] [4] In 1928, the Talleyville Fire Company was formed.[5] The William Hicklen House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
Talleyville is located at the intersection of U.S. Route 202, Mt. Lebanon Road, and Silverside Road to the north of Wilmington.[6] It is one and a half miles from the Pennsylvania state border.[7]
