is a railway station on the Hapi-Line Fukui Line in the city of Echizen, Fukui, Japan, operated by Hapi-Line Fukui.[1]
Takefu Station is served by the Hapi-Line Fukui Line,[2] and is located 35.1 kilometers from the terminus of the line at .
The station consists of one side platform and one island platform serving three tracks. The station building is located on the south side of the tracks. The station has a "Midori no Madoguchi" staffed ticket office.[1]
Takefu Station opened on 15 July 1896.[3] With the privatization of Japanese National Railways (JNR) on 1 April 1987, the station came under the control of JR West.[3]
Effective the 16 March 2024 timetable revision, this station was transferred to the Hapi-Line Fukui Line due to the opening of the western extension of the Hokuriku Shinkansen from Kanazawa to Tsuruga.[4]
In fiscal 2016, the station was used by an average of 2,344 passengers daily (boarding passengers only).[5]
