Tak Matsumoto Group (often abbreviated as TMG) is a supergroup consisting of members from several bands around the world. It includes Tak Matsumoto, Eric Martin, and Jack Blades.[1] From July to September 2004, they embarked on their "Dodge the Bullet Tour" of Japan.[2]
After a single, an album, 20 shows, and a live video, the band never performed again. In a 2016 interview with Rolling Stone India, Martin said he asked Matsumoto every year about a possible reunion, to which Matsumoto always answered, "Let me think about it".[3]
On February 28, 2024, in an interview with Rockpages.gr, Jack Blades revealed that the band would be making a second album.[4] A week later, on March 8, the band officially announced its reformation 20 years after its initial conception and would be releasing a second album and hold a nationwide tour across Japan.[5] [6]
