Sheikh Sayyid ˈAbdur-Rahmān al-Bukhāri (1920 – 1 February 2014),[1] [2] known as Ullal Thangal[3] and honoured with the title Tājul Ulamā, was an Indian Islamic scholar. He was the President of Samastha,[3] Jamia Sa-adiya Arabic College,[4] Principal of the Sayyid Madani Arabic College, Ullal,[5] and the Qazi of Ullal and several districts of Karnataka state.
He was a prominent member of the undivided Samastha until the split of the Sunnis in 1989[6] and the Samastha's AP faction thereafter. .He is The teacher of Famous Scholars like NM Usthad, Bekal Usthad, Sharaful Ulama Abbas Musliyar, etc
His grave is in Ettikulam, Kannur district of Kerala.[7] [8] [9]
