SV2A explained

Synaptic vesicle glycoprotein 2A is a ubiquitous synaptic vesicle protein that in humans is encoded by the SV2A gene.^{[1] [2] [3]} It is present in every synapse of the human nervous system, irrespective of neurotransmitter type.^[4] The protein is targeted by the anti-epileptic drugs (anticonvulsants) levetiracetam and brivaracetam.^[5]
