Sylwia Pusz (born June 18, 1972, in Poznań)[1] is a Polish politician who served as a member of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland during the third and fourth convocations.[2] [3]

Biography

She graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań.[3] From 1997 to 2005, she held the position of a member of the Polish Parliament during the third and fourth convocations, representing the Democratic Left Alliance in the Poznań constituencies No. 35 and No. 39.

In 2004, she joined the Social Democracy of Poland, and from May 1 to July 19 of the same year, she represented the party in the European Parliament. In 2005, she was not re-elected to the Polish Parliament.

From 1997 to 1999, she led the Social Democratic Youth Faction, and in 1999, she became the chairwoman of the Alliance of Young Democratic Left.[4] She runs a consulting company[5] and, since 2006, has been a member of the provincial assembly of the Greater Poland Voivodeship on behalf of the Left and Democrats coalition. She was the vice-chairwoman of the Social Democracy of Poland and also headed the party's structures in the Greater Poland region.

In 2009, she was a candidate for the European Parliament from the list of the coalition committee Agreement for the Future – CenterLeft in the Greater Poland constituency.

In January 2010, she resigned from party functions and announced her retirement from politics.[6]
