Sweetheart of the Regiment is a 1940 Australian musical serial devised as a vehicle for Jean Hatton and the National Military band.[1] [2]

It did not air 4 and 11 March 1940.

Premise

"She takes the part of Annette, a little French orphan, who sings her way into the hearts of British Tommies, billeted behind the Maginot Line. She mothers the men of the Regimental Band and, with their aid and the support of the kindly village cure, manages to persuade the Mayor to allow her to remain in the village, although he thinks she should go to an orphanage in Paris."
