Sverdlovsky District (Russian: Свердло́вский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[2] district (raion), one of the twenty-four in Oryol Oblast, Russia. It is located in the center of the oblast. The area of the district is 1061.4km2. Its administrative center is the urban locality (an urban-type settlement) of Zmiyovka. Population: 16,311 (2010 Census); The population of Zmiyovka accounts for 36.6% of the district's total population.
