Suzun ( ru | Сузун) is an urban locality (a work settlement) and the administrative center of Suzunsky District of Novosibirsk Oblast, Russia. Population:

Founded in 1763, the locality gained prominence for the mint that operated there from the reign of Catherine II until that of Nicholas I and produced copper coinage for the Siberian region.[1]

Etymology

Suzun is named after the Suzun River,[<nowiki/>[[:ru:Сузун (река)|ru]]] a tributary of the Ob River that flows through the town.
