Sursky District (Russian: Су́рский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[2] district (raion), one of the twenty-one in Ulyanovsk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the northwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 1688km2.[3] Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Surskoye. Population: 19,430 (2010 Census); The population of Surskoye accounts for 35.3% of the district's total population.
