The Suramula (Georgian: სურამულა) is a river in Khashuri Municipality, and a right tributary of the Ptsa, itself a tributary of the Kura. It starts at the left slope of Likhi Range, 1200m (3,900feet) above sea level, and runs a length of 42km (26miles). The basin is 719km2. This river is nourished by rain, snow, and groundwater. It is known to flood in the spring[1] and in autumn, but it lacks water in winter.[2]

This river is polluted with substances like nitrite nitrogen. It once was polluted with excessive amounts of iron, although this problem has since been fixed.[3]
