Stueng Saen Municipality (Central Khmer: ក្រុងស្ទឹងសែន) is a municipality, also a district within Kampong Thom province, in central Cambodia. According to the 1998 census of Cambodia, it had a population of 66,014.[2]

Etymology

Stueng Saen (Central Khmer: ស្ទឹងសែន) means "river of soldiers" in Khmer. Stueng (Central Khmer: ស្ទឹង) means river in Khmer, while Saen (Central Khmer: សែន) is derived from the Sanskrit word Sena (Sanskrit: सेना) meaning "soldier".
