Streptomyces filamentosus explained
Streptomyces filamentosus is a bacterium species from the genus of Streptomyces which has been isolated from soil. Streptomyces filamentosus produces caryomycin.[1] Streptomyces filamentosus also produces the novel cyclic lipopeptide antibiotic daptomycin (US trade name: Cubicin).[2]
