Storsjøen (or Storsjø) is the ninth-deepest lake in Norway at 309m (1,014feet) in depth. The 48.09km2 lake lies in Rendalen and Åmot municipalities which are in Innlandet county, Norway. The lake is long, but only wide at its broadest point. The lake lies 252m (827feet) above sea level, has an area of 48.09km2, and a volume of 6.69km3.[1] [2]
Historically, the lake was used for floating timber downstream from the forests where it was cut to the downstream mills were it would be cut and sold.
