Stare Leśne Bohatery is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Lipsk, within Augustów County, Podlaskie Voivodeship, in north-eastern Poland, close to the border with Belarus.[1] It lies approximately 12km (07miles) north-east of Lipsk, 380NaN0 east of Augustów, and 800NaN0 north of the regional capital Białystok.
The name of the settlement originates from be|'''багатыр''', which means "rich man". There is also a settlement Polnyja Bahatyry on the Belarusian side of the border.
