Sphaleroptera alpicolana explained

Sphaleroptera alpicolana is a moth species belonging to the subfamily Tortricinae of the family Tortricidae.^[1]

It is the only accepted species of its genus Sphaleroptera, but some authors do not consider it distinct from its relative Cnephasia.
