Spencer Township is one of fifteen townships in DeKalb County, Indiana. As of the 2020 census, its population was 1,198, down from 1,233 at the 2010 census.[4] It contained 452 housing units.
The Spencerville Covered Bridge was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1981.
According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of, of which (or 99.67%) is land and (or 0.39%) is water.[4]
The township contains two cemeteries: Riverside and White City.
