Spathacanthus Explained
Spathacanthus is a genus of plants in the family Acanthaceae. It contains four species native to Mexico and Central America, ranging from central Mexico to Costa Rica.[1]

Four species are accepted:[1]
- Spathacanthus hahnianus – central Mexico to Honduras
- Spathacanthus hoffmannii – Costa Rica
- Spathacanthus magdalenae – central Veracruz
- Spathacanthus parviflorus – Veracruz and Chiapas to Guatemala
