Sowgoli Tappeh (fa|سوگلي تپه) is a village in, and the former capital of, Zarrineh Rud-e Jonubi Rural District of the Central District of Miandoab County, West Azerbaijan province, Iran.[2] The capital of the rural district has been transferred to the village of Sarchenar.[3]

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 2,945 in 745 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 2,931 people in 866 households.[5] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 3,169 people in 977 households; it was the most populous village in its rural district.[6]
