Soviet Land Nehru Award Explained
The Soviet Land Nehru Award was a literary award created in 1965 in India.
The award was created to foster better relations between India and the Soviet Union. The first award recipient was the poet Sumitranandan Pant (1900–1977).
The award is named for Soviet Land magazine, which was an Indian magazine published by the Soviet government to promote socialism.[1] TASS published the magazine.
