Sol Eclipse Explained

The Sol Eclipse is a Brazilian single-place paraglider that was designed and produced by Sol Paragliders of Jaraguá do Sul in the mid-2000s. It is now out of production.[1]

Design and development

The Eclipse was designed as an advanced performance glider. The models are each named for their relative size.[1]

Variants

Eclipse S
  • Small-sized model for lighter pilots. Its 121NaN1 span wing has a wing area of 24.93m2, 64 cells and the aspect ratio is 5.78:1. The pilot weight range is 70to. The glider model is AFNOR Performance certified.[1]
    Eclipse M
  • Mid-sized model for medium-weight pilots. Its 12.51NaN1 span wing has a wing area of 27.05m2, 64 cells and the aspect ratio is 5.78:1. The pilot weight range is 85to. The glider model is AFNOR Performance certified.[1]
    Eclipse L
  • Large-sized model for heavier pilots. Its 131NaN1 span wing has a wing area of 29.25m2, 64 cells and the aspect ratio is 5.78:1. The pilot weight range is 95to. The glider model is AFNOR Performance certified.[1]
