Skywalk Hype Explained
The
Skywalk Hype is a German single-place
paraglider that was designed and produced by Skywalk GmbH & Co. KG of
Grassau, Bavaria and introduced in the mid-2000s. It is now out of production.

The Hype was designed as an beginner to intermediate glider. The models are each named for their relative size.[1]
Variants
- Hype S
Small-sized model for lighter pilots. Its 11.031NaN1 span wing has a wing area of 24.3m2, 44 cells and the aspect ratio is 5.01:1. The pilot weight range is 65to. The glider model is DHV 1-2 certified.[1]
- Hype M
Mid-sized model for medium-weight pilots. Its 11.521NaN1 span wing has a wing area of 26.5m2, 44 cells and the aspect ratio is 5.01:1. The pilot weight range is 80to. The glider model is DHV 1-2 certified.[1]
- Hype L
Large-sized model for heavier pilots. Its 11.981NaN1 span wing has a wing area of 28.7m2, 44 cells and the aspect ratio is 5.01:1. The pilot weight range is 95to. The glider model is DHV 1-2 certified.[1] See also
