Sixth sense explained
Sixth sense or variants may refer to:
- Biological senses other than the five traditionally understood in many cultures — taste, smell, touch, sound, & sight. Some are internal, for example our sense of balance, or sense of pain or spatial orientation. Animals can also have senses for temperature, for echolocation, electric and/or magnetic fields, moisture, polarized light, and other phenomena.
- Extrasensory perception (ESP) — narrowly this refers to psychic powers, or even more specifically to mind-reading. More generally, it can refer to any sensing modality which is seen as super-human, whether it is explainable by science or not.
