Sindora glabra is a tree of the family Fabaceae (or Leguminosae)[1] endemic to the People's Republic of China that grows in the provinces of Hainan, Fujian, Guangdong and Yunnan.[2] The species is under second-class national protection in China.[3]
The species is found growing in mixed forests, on mountain slopes and along riverbanks between sea level and 800m (2,600feet). It grows to 8mto20mm (26feetto70feetm) tall and has a trunk diameter of 8cmto20cmcm (03inchesto10inchescm).[2]
Sindora glabra produces good quality wood used for building houses and making furniture.[2]
