Sin (Persian: سين) is a city in the Central District of Borkhar County, Isfahan province, Iran, serving as the administrative center for Sin Rural District.[2]
Demographics
Population
At the time of the 2006 National Census, Sin's population was 4,147 in 1,066 households, when it was a village in Borkhar-e Gharbi Rural District of the Central District of the former Borkhar and Meymeh County.[3] The following census in 2011 counted 5,198 people in 1,621 households,[4] by which time the rural district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Shahin Shahr and Meymeh County. Sin was separated from the county in the establishment of Borkhar County and transferred to Sin Rural District created in the new Central District. The [2] The 2016 census measured the population as 5,495 people in 1,755 households,[5] when the village of Sin had been elevated to the status of a city.[6]
