Sin (fa|سين) is a city in the Central District of Borkhar County, Isfahan province, Iran, serving as the administrative center for Sin Rural District.[2]

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, Sin's population was 4,147 in 1,066 households, when it was a village in Borkhar-e Gharbi Rural District of the Central District of Borkhar and Meymeh County.[3] The following census in 2011 counted 5,198 people in 1,621 households,[4] by which time the village was separated from the county in the establishment of Borkhar County. Sin was transferred to Sin Rural District created in the new Central District.[2] The 2016 census measured the population as 5,495 people in 1,755 households,[5] when the village of Sin had been elevated to the status of a city.[6]
