Shuryshkarsky District (Russian: Шурышкарский райо́н; Khanty: Ӆорвош район, Łorvoš rajon) is an administrative[1] and municipal[2] district (raion), one of the seven in Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug of Tyumen Oblast, Russia. It is located in the southwest of the autonomous okrug. The area of the district is 54016km2.[3] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Muzhi. Population: 9,814 (2010 Census); The population of Muzhi accounts for 36.8% of the district's total population.
