Shout at the Thunder explained

Shout at the Thunder
Director:Doris Fitton
Place:Independent Theatre, Sydney
Orig Lang:English
Genre:comedy drama[1]

Shout at the Thunder is a 1942 Australia play by Gwen Meredith. It had a rural setting of the kind Meredith would so successfully exploit on radio.

The Sydney Morning Herald called it a "poorly conceived play".[2] The Daily Mirror said star Gwen Plumn was "outstanding".[3]

The Wireless Weekly said "Gwen Meredith has won a certain amount of success in the writing of trivial comedy. The poor quality of this, her first serious play, indicates she should return to her former medium. The play does not merit critical examination."
