Shout: The True Story of a Survivor Who Refused to be Silenced is a poetic memoir by Laurie Halse Anderson, published March 12, 2019 by Viking Books. The book is a New York Times best seller.[1]

Shout received starred reviews from Kirkus, Booklist,[2] BookPage,[3] and Publishers Weekly,[4] as well as positive reviews from New York Times,[5] Los Angeles Times,[6] and Common Sense Media.[7] Kirkus, School Library Journal,[8] Horn Book, NPR,[9] Chicago Public Library,[10] and Publishers Weekly[11] named it one of the best books of the year. It's also a Junior Library Guild selection.[12] Kirkus Reviews stated the book was "necessary for every home, school, and public library."
