Shivand Rural District (Persian: دهستان شیوند) is in Qarun District of Dezpart County, Khuzestan province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Nowshivand,[2] whose population at the time of the 2016 National Census was 277 people in 65 households.[3]

History

In July 2021, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Dezpart County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with Dehdez as its capital and only city. Shivand Rural District was created in the new Qarun District.[2]
