Shirdi is one of the 288 Vidhan Sabha (Legislative Assembly) constituencies of Maharashtra state in Western India.[1] This is the most important assembly constituency of Maharashtra because of religious, industrial and geographical reasons. It comes under Shirdi Lok Sabha constituency. Shri Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil is the seven-time undefeated MLA from Shirdi Assembly constituency. He has worked under six different Chief Ministers since 1995 and has held twelve different portfolios in his career.

Overview

Shirdi (constituency number 218) is one of the twelve Vidhan Sabha constituencies located in Ahmednagar district. It comprises part of Rahata tehsil and part of Sangamner tehsil of the district.[2]

Shirdi is part of Shirdi Lok Sabha constituency along with five other Vidhan Sabha constituencies in this district, namely Akole, Sangamner, Kopargaon, Shrirampur and Nevasa.
