The El Sharara oil field is an oil field located in Murzuq Desert in Libya. It was discovered in 1980 and developed by Petrom. The oil field is operated and owned by Repsol. The total proven reserves of the El Sharara oil field are 3 billion barrels (403×106tonnes), and production is centered on 300000oilbbl/d.[1]

On January 7, 2024, protestors from the nearby town of Ubari shut down production at the site.[2]
