Shanxiornis Explained
Shanxiornis is an extinct monotypic genus of pheasant-like bird. Its fossils were discovered in Early Pleistocene deposits of the Sanmen Formation, in the Shanxi Province of China. Its type and only known species is S. fenyinis.[1]
