Khawaja Shamsuddin Azeemi (Urdu: خواجه شمس الدين عظيمي; born 17 October 1927) is a Pakistani Islamic scholar and a master in the field of Tassawuf, with Ijazah and authorization from his Murshid Muhammad Azeem Barkhiya, the founder and the Shaykh of Silsila Azeemia. He is the current head of the Azeemia order.[1] He has authored more than 20 books on the various subjects of Rūhaniyat and Muraqaba, and he is the chief editor of the monthly Roohani Digest and Qalander Shaoor in Karachi, Pakistan. He has established a chain of fifty-three meditation centers worldwide.[2]
Azeemi's father was Anis Ahmed Ansari and mother was Umat-ur-Rehman. He is descended from Abu Ayyub al-Ansari, a companion of Muhammad and his host in Medina.[3]
