Shakira Amirah (born 18 June 2001) is an Indonesian medical researcher at the University of Indonesia. She was a finalist in the Varkey Foundation global student prize in July 2024.[1]

Amirah was born on 18 June 2001 in Jakarta, Indonesia.[2] She went to MA Negeri Insan Cendekia Serpong in 2017 and graduated in 2020, and continued her education at Faculty of Medicine at University of Indonesia in the same year.[3] During her time at college, Amirah represented the University of Indonesia in the selection of most outstanding students at the national level and won third place.[4]
Amirah started her career by becoming vice chair of internal affairs at Asian Medical Students & Association (AMSA) International.[5] She also served as vice overall chairperson. As a researcher at the Indonesia Medical Education and Research Institute (IMERI) and she has published many systematic reviews and meta-analyses in peer-reviewed journal articles. Amirah has served as student ambassador for Indonesian Medical Student Scientific Journal and became an administrator in the general election of the Faculty of Medicine at University of Indonesia student association in 2020. She is also a content creator at TikTok and Instagram by sharing information about health and education.
In 2024, Amirah participated in Clash of Champions, a university war show by Ruangguru, and gained public attention. She was a finalist in the Varkey Foundation global student prize in July 2024.[1]
