Shahla Behrouzirad (Persian: شهلا بهروزی راد; born 7 September 1985) is an Iranian paracanoer.[1] [2] Behrouzirad was the first Iranian female kayaker to qualify for the Paralympic Games. She participated in the Rio 2016 Paralympics[3] [4] and the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics[5] [6] [7] [8] in her career, and she has set a unique record in this field. She finished 99th in the 2016 Rio Paralympics and 7th in the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics.
Behrouzirad won gold and silver medals in the Asian championship,[9] [10] [11] [12] [13] [14] and also won the silver medal in the semi-paralympic competitions.[15] [16] In addition, she won a bronze medal in the world championships.
