Student life

Shahid Dastgheib Secondary School opened in the 1980s, becoming the first NODET branch located in Shiraz. It was initially a single building, comprising both the Middle school and Secondary School. Later on, the bordering property to the east of the school was constructed into what is today the Shahid Dastgheib Middle school. Today, the original building contains only the secondary school, and the two schools have separate boards and principals. Due to the construction of another NODET branch in Shiraz, also named Shahid Dastgheib, the original school has become known as Shahid Dastgheib 1. A third NODET school was later established in Shiraz, although that branch was closed, with its students enrolling in Shahid Dastgheib 1.

There are various kinds of clubs at the school.
