Shabalinsky District (Russian: Шабалинский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[2] district (raion), one of the thirty-nine in Kirov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the west of the oblast. The area of the district is 3860km2. Its administrative center is the urban locality (an urban-type settlement) of Leninskoye. Population: 14,013 (2002 Census); The population of Leninskoye accounts for 46.6% of the district's total population.
