Seymour is a census-designated place in Champaign County, Illinois, United States. At the 2020 census it had a population of 317. It is part of Mahomet-Seymour Community Unit School District No. 3.
Seymour is located at 40.1068°N -88.4271°W (40.1069769, -88.4267245).[2] It is located in Scott Township, Champaign County, Illinois. According to the 2021 census gazetteer files, Seymour has a total area of 0.09sqmi, all land.[3]
As of the 2020 census[4] there were 317 people, 41 households, and 30 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 3408.6PD/sqmi. There were 122 housing units at an average density of 1311.83/mi2. The racial makeup of the CDP was 93.38% White, 1.26% African American, 1.26% from other races, and 4.10% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.95% of the population.
There were 41 households, out of which 43.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 73.17% were married couples living together, none had a female householder with no husband present, and 26.83% were non-families. 26.83% of all households were made up of individuals, and none had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 4.07 and the average family size was 3.54.
