Severny District (Russian: Се́верный райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[2] district (raion), one of the thirty-five in Orenburg Oblast, Russia. It is located in the northwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 2100km2.[3] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Severnoye. Population: 15,012 (2010 Census); The population of Severnoye accounts for 29.5% of the total district's population.
