The Seoul Museum of History is a history museum located at Sinmunno 1-ga, Jongno District, Seoul, South Korea.
The museum depicts the evolution of Seoul from the prehistoric period to the current day. It also hosts special exhibitions.[1]
The museum runs the online service Seoul History Archives. The website provides digitized museum materials to the public, free of charge. It offers materials for both non-commercial and commercial use.[2] [3]

The museum's building finished construction on 15 December 1993, although the museum did not open until 21 May 2002. It acquired the Chonggyecheon Museum on 1 January 2006.[5]
