Sendamangalam (also spelt as Sendai) is a neighbourhood in the city of Namakkal in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It was merged with the Namakkal Corporation in 2011.

Sendamangalam is located at .[1] It has an average elevation of 240m (790feet). Sendamangalam is close to Kolli Hills (கொல்லி மலை), which is part of the Eastern Ghats. The closest river is the Kaveri river. The municipality is approximately 350km (220miles) southwest of Chennai, 255km (158miles) south of Bangalore, 50km (30miles) south of Salem, 93km (58miles) northwest of Tiruchirapalli, and approximately 200km (100miles) north of Madurai.
The temperature ranges from 20C to 44C throughout the year.
As of the 2001 Indian census,[2] there were 18,085 people. Males made up 50% of the population, and 50% were female. 9% of the population was under 6 years of age. The average literacy rate was 64%, above the national average of 59.5%. The census reported 73% of males were literate, while 56% of females were literate.
The Senthamangalam taluk is part of Namakkal Lok Sabha constituency.[3]
Sendamangalam began functioning as a taluk on 2 June 2015. It had previously been in Namakkal taluk.[4]
