Scottsville is a city in Mitchell County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population of the city was 26.[2]
Scottsville was platted in October 1878 when the railroad was extended to that point.[3] [4] It was named for Tom Scott, a pioneer settler.[5] [6]
The post office in Scottsville was discontinued in 1967.[7]
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.25sqmi, all of it land.[8]
As of the census[9] of 2010, there were 25 people, 11 households, and 7 families residing in the city. The population density was 100PD/sqmi. There were 15 housing units at an average density of 60/sqmi. The racial makeup of the city was 96.0% White and 4.0% from two or more races.
