Savitri Nigam (1919-1985) was an Indian politician. She was a Member of Parliament, representing Uttar Pradesh in the Rajya Sabha the upper house of India's Parliament and to the Lok Sabha, lower house of the Parliament of India from Banda, Uttar Pradesh as a member of the Indian National Congress.[1] [2] [3] [4]
She also served as President of Indian Federation of United Nations Associations.[5]
She was board member at the Food & Nutrition Board, Govt. of India.[6] Also the President of Indian Housawives Federation.
Emphasizing on women education she said:
"A self-centered person cannot be self-sufficient because that person lives like a parasite."
