Slender sorcerer explained
The slender sorcerer[1] (Saurenchelys cancrivora) is an eel in the family Nettastomatidae (duckbill/witch eels).[2] It was described by Wilhelm Peters in 1864.[3] It is a marine, tropical eel which is known from the eastern Atlantic and Indian Ocean, including the River Congo and the Mediterranean. It dwells at a depth range of 185mto700mm (607feetto2,300feetm). Males can reach a maximum total length of 65cm (26inches).[2]
