Sáric (O'odham: Ṣaʼalk mountain pass) is a small town in Sáric Municipality, located in the extreme north of the Mexican state of Sonora. In 2010, it had a population of 892.

History

The town was founded in 1690 by Jesuit missionary Eusebio Kino as Mission Santa Gertrudis del Sáric.[1] It served as the local mission headquarters, with Spanish; Castilian: [[visitas]] at Búsanic, Aquimuri, and San Antonio de la Arizona. Missionaries stationed there included:[2]
