Sandie Jones Explained
Sandie Jones should not be confused with Sadie Jones.
Margaret "Sandie" Jones (1951 – 19 September 2019) was an Irish singer.[1] [2] She represented in the Eurovision Song Contest 1972 with the song "Irish: [[Ceol an Ghrá]]|i=no",[3] the only occasion in the history of the contest on which a song was performed in the Irish language.[4] [5]
Jones died after a long illness on 19 September 2019, at the age of 68. She was in hospice care in the United States, where she had moved later in her life.[1] [6]
