Sandøya is an island in Ålesund Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The 1.1km2 island was the namesake of the former Sandøy municipality. The highest point on the island is the 36m (118feet) tall hill Bustihaugen. The island has ferry connections to Finnøya, Ona, and Orta. The historic Sandøy Church is located on this island.[1]
