Sam Huber is a tech entrepreneur and the founder of Landvault, a platform used by UAE and Saudi governments, as well as various Fortune 500 brands to power their metaverse; and Matera, a web3 tool to tokenize content.[1] [2] [3]

Early life and education

Sam Huber studied BSc Physics, Uppsala University, Sweden French baccalaureate, BSc Physics, Polytechnic School of Lausanne (Switzerland) and Motorsport Engineering and Management, Cranfield University, UK.

After graduating in 2011, he worked as a Formula One engineer for Mercedes High Performance Powertrains, the engine supplier of the Mercedes Formula One team. In 2013, Sam left Mercedes to start his own gaming venture in London, which incubated several projects. At the same time, he also discovered Bitcoin and started investing in cryptocurrencies.

In 2017, Sam founded Admix, in-game advertising company enabling product placement of branded content within videogames. Admix pioneered the programmatic delivery of content, creating a new monetization channels for game developers. In 2018, Admix launched by delivered the first programmatic ad campaign in virtual reality content with Verizon and National Geographic.[4]

Sam served as CEO and raised a $2.4m seed round in 2018 from venture capital like Brent Hoberman's Founders Factory, Speedinvest, Force of Mass, followed by a $8.5m Series A in 2020, and a $25m Series B in 2021, with new investors including Elefund and Notion Capital and In 2022, Sam saw an opportunity to align the company product with the metaverse and web3 narrative.[5]

Sam has helped over 300 brands, from Calvin Klein and National Geographic to McDonalds or Uber, to enter new digital environments, from games to the metaverse. His work has been covered by Fast Company, Venture Beat, TechCrunch, Financial Times and Nasdaq. Before this, Sam's first venture was an indie game studio, where he discovered blockchain and bought his first Bitcoins for $190 in 2013. Before that, he was an engineer for Mercedes Formula One, working directly with Lewis Hamilton.

In 2023, Sam relocated to Dubai to support local clients, including UAE and Saudi governments, using Landvault to power their metaverse.

Sam was featured in CNN documentary Decoded, and won the Entrepreneur.com Award for Metaverse Company of the Year in 2023. His work has been covered by Fast Company, Venture Beat, TechCrunch, Financial Times and Nasdaq. He is also an investor in various web3 companies.[6] [7]
