"Somali: italic=no|Samo ku waar" (pronounced as /so/; Arabic: حياة طويلة مع السلام; English: Live in Eternal Peace[1]) is the national anthem of Somaliland, a self-declared republic that is internationally recognized as an autonomous region of Somalia.[2]
See main article: National anthem of Somaliland (1960).
The current anthem was written and composed by Hassan Sheikh Mumin,[3] a famous Somali playwright and composer. The anthem was adopted in 1997 and is sung in Somali.[4]
